Information & FAQs for Pamper Packages

Please remember to bring your voucher with you on the day (if applicable). Please note that without an original voucher, you will be asked for another form of payment on arrival.

 

What should I bring?

If you have a voucher, please remember to bring this with you on the day.  Please bring flip flops if you have booked a pedicure treatment. 

 

What time should I arrive?

If you have not been to see us before, we request that you arrive at least 10 minutes before your allotted treatment time stated to complete the relevant documentation; and please be aware that if you are late, this may result in a shorter treatment time.

What facilities are there?

Our Pamper Packages are designed around your treatments. Within Atlas itself, we have nine treatments rooms, a relaxation lounge and a small changing room. No packages include use of any of the facilities within the David Lloyd Club, these are for members only.

 

Where can I have lunch?

There is also a wide choice of restaurants on the Stevenage Leisure Park including Chiquitos, Prezzo & Ask. You are welcome to go out and come back in again, as long as you arrive back with us in time for your next treatment.

 

Is there somewhere safe to leave my things?

We have lockers within our changing facilities here. These take specific locker tokens which are provided. All guests are here to relax so please leave your mobile phone in your locker during the day.

 

What happens if I need to change the date of my visit?

24 hours notice is required for changes to the date of any booking and any appointments that are missed shall not be refunded. This means that if you cancel with less than 24 hours notice or do not arrive on the day, for whatever reason, you will forfeit your voucher. A £10 per person charge will be levied for changes to any booking with greater than 24 hours notice.  Should we for reasons beyond our control, need to make any amendments to your booking, we reserve the right to offer an alternative choice of time or date.

Are there any age restrictions?

We do not allow guests under the age of 16 for any beauty treatments at Atlas.

 

Can I come and use the pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi?

No, these facilities are for members of the club only.

 

Can  I upgrade my treatment?

We offer an upgrade on any 25 minute facial, massage, manicure or pedicure treatment: Pay just £20 to upgrade to a full 55 minute treatment.  15 minute file and polish treatments can be upgraded to 45 minute treatments at the same price. If you have purchased a voucher that is only valid for Mondays to Fridays and you would like to use your voucher for a Saturday you may do so for an additional £10 per person. Can I book extra treatments?

If you have a voucher and would like to enjoy any additional treatments, please do call or email us as soon as possible in advance so that we may try and accommodate. Please note that we may not be able to accommodate any extra treatments on the day unless they are booked in advance.  Full payment for additional treatments and upgrades must be made at the time of booking. 

 

What are Perfectly Polished Fingers & Toes?

These treatments are the ‘final polish’ at the end of the day and include a file and polish only to either your fingers or toes. We allow 15 minutes for each treatment. Please ensure that you have removed any nail polish prior to arriving for either of these ‘final polish’ treatments. Clients arriving for these treatments with gel already on their fingers or toes will be offered a hand and arm or foot and leg massage instead.

 

More about manicures & pedicures

If you have booked a manicure or pedicure treatment, please note that we are unable to remove any form of gel covering from your nails on the day unless a further booking for a removal has been made. Only products applied at Atlas will be removed and this is by prior arrangement only as this requires additional time. 25 minute manicures and pedicures are express treatments and include removal of varnish (not gel), filing, cuticle work and nail paint using OPI products. If you wish to upgrade either of these treatments to either a spa or luxury manicure/pedicure please do so at the time of booking or as soon as you can if you have already made your booking. 25 minute treatments are ‘dry’ treatments and do not include soaking, massage or foot filing (for pedicures).

 

How do I find you?

 

Our postcode for your satnav is SG1 2UA. We are located 2-3 minutes from Junction 7 of the A1(M) on the Stevenage Leisure Park. Stevenage train station is just across the car park from us, which takes approximately 2-3 minutes to walk from. Please enter the David Lloyd Club and come up the stairs to Atlas, where our friendly team will be waiting to greet you.

 

Where do I park, and is the parking free?

There is ample free parking on the Stevenage Leisure Park

 

What if I am pregnant?

Please inform us at the time of booking and again on arrival. We regret that it is not appropriate to use aromatherapy on clients who are pregnant and this also applies to some of our facial products. We do however offer a range of pregnancy treatments and our reception team will be happy to advise you on how you can upgrade your voucher to include these treatments. Manicures and pedicures are absolutely fine.

What if I have a serious illness?

If you are undergoing any form of life-saving treatment, you will need to inform us of this prior to your arrival. We regret that we may be unable to allow you to have treatments unless we are given a current letter from your GP or consultant, informing us that it is safe and appropriate for you to have treatments with us. Please ask to speak to our head therapist and we will do our very best to accommodate you and make sure that you have a relaxing day.

 

What if I am allergic to nuts or anything else that might be in your products?

The products we use are as natural as possible. They may include nut oils and nut derived ingredients which have excellent natural moisturising and skin protecting properties; for that reason these are some of the key ingredients. We cannot guarantee that they wouldn’t have traces of nut within them. Nut allergy sufferers should make us aware of their allergy at the time of booking any treatment so that we may look for an alternative solution. Please inform us at the time of booking if you are allergic to anything else, and we will ensure that we check the ingredients with the manufacturers prior to your arrival.

 

Can I buy the products you use?

Yes, we have a full range of retail products for you to purchase. Your therapist will be happy to recommend the products which are most suitable for you to continue your experience at home.

 

Are gratuities included?

These are left to the discretion of each individual guest.

 

Lastly, we hope that you have a wonderful and relaxing visit. If you have any concerns or comments on your treatment(s), please speak to your therapist or the General Manager on the day. We want to ensure that you leave us feeling relaxed and rejuvenated having enjoyed your visit but please note that we are only able to address issues if we are notified on the day, at the time of treatment.
